Besides desperately longing to be these two extraordinary individuals, I also greatly admire and idolize them. Whether it's the little boy in the closet under the stairs who eventually single handedly defeats the greatest dark wizard of all time, or the awkward farmboy who grows up to be The Man of Steel, saver of worlds, both are classic and incredibly noble heroes. If pop culture is wise enough, will be remembered for many, many generations. I am forever in awe over the unexpected and tricky use of heat vision against Lex Luthor's latest two-bit henchmen. Or the very skillful and powerful wield of Expelliarmus that always seems to save the day. And to end this paragraph of honor, I would like to mention their creators: Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the creators of The Man of Tomorrow, and JK Rowling, the conjurer of The Boy Who Lived.
And now... Some similarities:
• Both were horrifically orphaned as small children.
• Both had sheltered beginnings: Smallville and Number 4, Privet Drive.
• Both eventually get the girl.
• Both of their greatest enemies' are bald and quite good at being nefarious.
• They both somehow are associated with the color Red.
Some honorable mentions...
- Spiderman
- Albus Dumbledore
- Professor Xavier
- Dr. Walter Bishop

Anything having to do with the big S is very bodacious. In fact, I'm watching Smallville right now.
ReplyDelete... And Harry Potter beats everything.
